We conduct our business in compliance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Our websites are generally designed in such a way that they can be visited and used without identification and/or disclosure of personal data. Below you will find out what data we collect, how we use it and who we may disclose it to.

 

Personal data

Personal data means any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, your email address, your postal address, account details, etc.

We do not collect any personal data through our websites, except where you provide us with such data voluntarily or based on your consent or where we are permitted to do so in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations.

The purpose of this document is to provide you with an overview of the type of data we collect when you visit our website and how we use it:

 

1. Legal basis

We typically process data in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

2. Storage of access data

Every time a user accesses our website or retrieves a file, data is stored in a log file. The data is stored exclusively for internal system-related and statistical purposes.

Every time our internet site is accessed, the access data is stored in a protocol file on our provider’s server. This file consists of your IP address, the time and date of the request, the name of the requested file, the file name from which the file was requested, the amount of data transferred and the access status, a description of the Web browser and operating system used, as well as the name of your internet provider.

This data is collected for technical reasons. It is evaluated solely for statistical purposes without personal reference.

3. Contact Form and Other Data Collection/Permission

Further personal data is only then collected if you provide such information voluntarily, such as in an inquiry. We use this data only for answering your request, for processing our mutual contracts and for technical administration. No transmission to third parties will take place without your permission.

4. Data protection for applications

For applications, we process the data submitted to us for the purpose of the application process. The legal basis for this is Art. 6, para. 1 lit. a.

The recipient of the data is exclusively the person entrusted with the application at our company. If we reject your application, we will store the data 6 months after completing the application process in accordance with the legal requirements.

With your consent, we can also agree on a different period. The legal basis for this is Art. 6, para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Otherwise, the collection and storage of data usually takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).

 

Your rights as a user of our website

Under the GDPR, you have certain rights as a website user with respect to the processing of your personal data:

1. Notice about Right to Information (Article 15 DSGVO):

You have the right to information about which of your personal data has been stored and the reason for such storage at no charge.  You are also entitled to alter incorrect data and have it blocked or deleted in as far as such storage is forbidden or no longer necessary. 2. Right to rectification and erasure (Articles 16 and 17 GDPR):

You have the right to obtain from the controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

You also have the right to obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay where one of the grounds set out in Article 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.

3. Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR):

You have the right to obtain from the controller restriction of processing where one of the conditions listed in Article 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if you have objected to processing pending verification of legitimate grounds.

4. Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR):

In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Article 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to a third party.

5. Right to object (Article 21 GDPR):

Where data are collected on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests), you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time. We shall then no longer process the personal data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

6. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes data protection laws and regulations. You can exercise this right before a supervisory authority in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.

 

Cookies

We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that can be stored and read on your device. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual browser session. Cookies may contain data that make it possible to recognize the device used. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies on our websites. The processing of personal data is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and our legitimate interest to optimize the web interface and enhance the user experience when visiting our website.

Google‘s „+1“- Plugin

Our internet pages include the “Google+” “+1” button distributed by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The button can be recognized by “+1” character.

When you visit one of our pages containing such a button, your browser makes a direct connection to Google’s servers. The content of the “+1” button is transferred from Google directly to your browser and is then embedded in the web page. We have no influence over the scope of the data Google collects using this button.

If you are a member of “Google+” and do not want the data collected on our web presence to be linked with your membership data at Google, you must log off „Google+“ before visiting out internet presence. Instagram-Plugin

There are Instagram service functions embedded in our webpages. These function are offered and integrated by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages with your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. In doing so, Instagram can attribute your visit to our site with your user account. We point out that we, as web page operators, receive no information about the content of the transferred data or how it is used by Instagram.

XING-Plugin

Our website uses a XING network plug-in. This plug-in is offered by XING AG, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg („XING“). When you call up our website, your browser will establish a connection to XING’s servers. XING does not store any personal data about the user who has called up our website. The IP address is also not stored by XING. There is also no evaluation of your user behavior via cookies in connection with the XING plug-in. Google Analytics (Web Analysis/Tracking)

This website uses Google Analytics, a Google Inc. (“Google”) web analysis service. Google Analytics uses so-called “Cookies”, text files, stored by your computer to enable the analysis of your website use. As a rule, the information created by the cookie about your use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If you activate IP anonymization on this website, your IP address within the member states of the European Union and other countries belonging to the European Economic Area will be abbreviated by Google first.
