east end communications organizes international traveling exhibition
“Building a new city – A trip to the metropolises of tomorrow ”

In conjunction with the Hanseatic city and the International Construction Exhibition IBA, Hamburg is showplace to two of the most important urban development projects in Europe. For this reason, the IBA Hamburg GmbH and the Hanseatic City Hamburg GmbH are currently active in initiating the international dialogue concerning the future of metropolises. At the core of this new dialogue format is the exhibition designed by the IBA Hamburg and Hanseatic City „Building a new city – A trip to the metropolises of tomorrow“, to be shown during 2012 in various European cities.

The Hamburg-based agency for live communication, east end communications, was succeeded in winning pitch and has been commissioned with the organization of this international traveling exhibition.

„We are very pleased with the trust our customer has placed in us. Having already mastered the first exhibition at the EC parliament in Brussels, further European cities lie before us. A huge challenge of this traveling exhibition is the coordination of all the works at the different locations, the procurement of permits, ensuring the logistics and the preparation of the infrastructure“, explains Oliver Golz, Managing Director of east end communications. „Our experience with international projects like the “Train of Ideas” for the environmental capital Hamburg 2011 provided a huge advantage“.

The Hamburg-based agency Kunstraum is responsible for the exhibition architecture.
