We stage the opening ceremony of Arcadis Ost 1, Europe’s most technologically advanced offshore wind farm off the coast of Rügen. Planned and built over many years by our client Parkwind, this wind farm sets new standards in terms of environmentally friendly innovation and engineering.
The challenge was to bring the technological masterpiece to life for representatives of the offshore industry, stakeholders, high-ranking politicians and members of the press in Berlin. EAST END created a unique journey that transported the guests into the world of Arcadis Ost 1 through spatial and sound staging.
Highlights of the staging included an “underwater atmosphere” on the first floor, an “emergence” to the surface of the water and physical exhibits as well as models of the installation ships.
A specially produced film (LINKEDIN) and an artistically designed pop-up book as a give-away told the fascinating story and technical progress behind Arcadis Ost 1.
With the opening, we created an incomparable experience that atmospherically brought the unique character of the offshore wind farm to Berlin and at the same time conveyed information about the innovative art of engineering.
